Friendly High Soccer team was established in 1972 the same year that Friendly high school opened it's doors for education.  This program has had success in the 80's as being a dominant soccer program always competing for the county title and having scholar athletes who would perform at the next level.

However in the 90's the program faded and it's coach resigned after 18 years with the program. Charles Shuff and the program in 2002 were discontinued and there would be no team until 2005 under the direction of one of Coach Shuff's former players Anthony Arrington. Since 2005 the program has been transformed into a winning program on and off the field.  

Students like Duane Mclarthy freshman defender at Howard University, Mervin Jones sophomore at University of Maryland at Eastern-Shore who organized club soccer, and countless others have paved the way for future student athletes to play soccer at friendly, and also learn about the values of life and become better people at the next level.
